READ THIS IF YOU USE PAPERLESS OFFICE TO EMAIL AND USE v2018 OR EARLIER
If you are sending paperless office emails through Sage 100 and using a version PRIOR to 2018 then this is your wakeup call to upgrade soon. Microsoft Office 365 will move to TLS 1.2 starting in June 2020. 

Older versions of Sage 100 may use TLS 1.0 for emailing which will cause issues once Microsoft disables the use of this older protocol.


Some tech-savvy users may be able to work around this issue by tweaking their email server settings. Most users are better advised to stay current with the latest Sage 100 to ensure compatibility.

Sage will only update versions 2018 and 2019 to TLS 1.2+ which will cause older Sage 100 versions using paperless emailing to have issues once Microsoft disables TLS 1.0.

In short, I recommend no longer than a 2-year upgrade cycle in order to stay current with changing technologies. For most users, this means upgrading every other year.

• What versions of Crystal Reports are supported on Sage 100? 
  • Sage 100 2019 - Crystal Reports 2016 for Sage
  • Sage 100 2018 - Crystal Reports 2016 for Sage 100 and Sage 100c
  • Sage 100 2016 + 2017 - Crystal Reports 2011 for Sage 100 and Sage 100c
  • Sage 100 ERP 2013 through 2015 - Crystal Reports 2011 for Sage
  • Sage MAS 90 or 200 version 4.40 + 4.50 - Crystal Reports XI Release 2 for Sage (11.5)
  • Sage MAS 90 or 200 version 4.10 - 4.30 - Crystal Reports 10.0 for Sage
  • Sage MAS 90 or 200 version 4.00 and prior  - Crystal Reports 8.5 for Sage
    • Be sure you use the supported version of Crystal Reports to modify or create reports as using an earlier release may work intiially until it comes time to run the report through Sage
    • See your Sage partner if you are upgrading two Sage 100 versions which use different Crystal versions as a workaround will be needed to continue printing in both versions.
• Payroll tax calculation outage impacts version 2.18.x - the fix is to upgrade to 2.19.x or make this change to Payroll 2.18.x 
  • navigate to the MAS90 > Home > Microsoft.NET > Sage.Payroll.Tax.Client directory and open the 'Sage.Payroll.Tax.Client.dll.config" file in notepad
     Change "PeerValidate" from "true" to "false"
     Save, close and try running PR Tax Calc again.
