Three was a crowd!

Zebra Not a Horse

Removal of skin lumps is one of the more common surgical procedures done here at Gordon Vet, though as they say “When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses and not zebras”. So, when Rex the 5 year old Jack Russell X staffy came in with a lump on his skin, Dr Catherine took a fine needle aspirate biopsy to find out what type of mass it was. While the findings sounded like hoofbeats, the lump was far from a horse!

New Rules For Selling or Giving Away Dogs or CatsFrom 1st July 2019, if you are selling or giving away a kitten, cat, puppy or dog, you will need to include an identification number in all advertisements. This number can be a microchip number, a breeder identification number or a rehoming organisation number. It applies regardless of the age of the animal, whether you are a breeder or not, and whether you are giving the pet away or selling it.
