We've been busy updating our Community e-newsletter design and we hope you like it! It's a new look but we continue to share great ways you can get involved in Greening Kingston, Greening OurPlace. FREE workshop "Living the Better Life - for the Environment and You" 

Be inspired to live with a smaller environmental footprint with tips from the experts at CERES followed by a practical session making beeswax wraps. Bookings are essential as places are limited.

Living Links tree planting events in August

Can't make it to local tree planting events on National Tree Day this Sunday 28 July? Get yourself involved in tree planting events with Living Links on 3 August at Mordialloc Creek and on 31 August at Aspendale Foreshore. Sustainable Art Workshops

Join leading jewellers and artists for talks and hands-on workshops to learn practical techniques for converting natural, recycled, found and fossicked materials into art. Help minimise waste and live more sustainably! An exhibition of wearable art and sculptural pieces created by artists and workshop participants will be presented at the Kingston Arts Centre galleries. Come along to the panel and workshop on 3 August or 10 August. For more information and to book your spot visit Kingston Arts.

Film screening and conversation event

Join your local community at Shirley Burke Theatre in Parkdale, for a screening of the thought provoking film 2040 followed by a discussion panel. Refreshments are available for purchase before the film and the opportunity to explore what's on offer from various wellness and lifestyle exhibitors.

Calling for community submissions

Add you or your organisation's voice to the topic of tackling climate change. The Victorian Legislative Assembly Environment and Planning Committee want to hear about actions being taken by community members and organisations to mitigate the severity of climate change, actions to adapt to the current and future impacts of climate change and the ways in which the government can best support communities in their efforts. Email your submission here or lodge an eSubmission via the Committee's website. Closing date for submissions is 26 August 2019. Yarra River Blitz event

Be part of a boat-based blitz clean for Melbourne's own iconic Yarra River and join others in this large community event. Boats are provided or bring your own! Click here for further details and to register.
