Special Workshop Alert!

Dr. Esselstyn is bringing his internationally known and scientifically proven program of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease reversal to PBNHC! This exclusive workshop, being offered for the first-time at PBNHC, will be held on Saturday, September 21st.

This evidence-based nutritional intervention and lifestyle medicine solution prevents and reverses heart disease, the leading cause of death for U.S. men and women.  Dr. Esselstyn will review the scientific literature on heart disease and food and describe the physiologic benefits of a whole-food, plant- based diet. This session will also teach the fundamentals of working with patients to enable a dietary intervention, including key aspects of behavior change. Finally, Dr. Esselstyn will share the secrets that he has learned through decades of working with patients to reverse their disease. Not only will healthcare practitioners benefit from this informative session, but patients will also take away information and techniques that can benefit them in their journey towards true health. While seating is limited, you do not have to be a PBNHC registrant to attend this workshop or the four other fantastic and informative workshops available.

Our inaugural issue of The Disease Reversal Digest is packed with over 80 pages of content, interviews, recipes and more. And what’s better? You can access all of them for a low introductory subscription of just $9.99

Below we share two previews of Dr. Marbas’ interviews from the Digest.
Susan Levin and Neal Barnard, M.D., both of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, talk with Dr. Laurie Marbas about how the use of a plant-based diet is very effective at reversing obesity. Did you know that when you eat heavily processed fatty foods, fat enters the cells and interferes with the mitochondria's ability to work? High fat diets can cause a reduction in mitochondrial action! You can read, listen and watch the full interview when you subscribe to the Disease Reversal Digest.
Laurie Marbas, M.D. interviews PBNHC first-time presenter, Joel Fuhrman, M.D. who explains that psoriasis, one of over 100 autoimmune diseases, can be reversed on a plant-based diet. You can listen to the podcast, watch the interview and also read the transcript all in the inaugural issue of the Disease Reversal and Prevention Digest.

If you’d like to see Dr. Fuhrman in person, we are so excited he will be joining us this year in Oakland! His talk, Fast Food Genocide, is highly anticipated!

In June, over 200 participants from the U.S and around the world, joined us for our first ever Food Solutions for Human Health Summit at Plant-based World Expo in NYC!

Scott Stoll, MD / T. Colin Campbell, PhD /  Dean Ornish, MD / Michael Greger, MD in NYC.

This inaugural summit marked the first time the Plantrician Project has offered one of our renowned medical education events on the East Coast. With this first summit’s resounding success, we expect Food Solutions for Human Health to be as influential in educating and equipping healthcare practitioners with the knowledge of the indisputable benefits of plant-based nutrition, as our West Coast Plant-Based Nutrition Healthcare Conferences have been and will continue to be.

If you missed us in The Big Apple, registration is still open for the 7th Annual International Plant-Based Nutrition Healthcare Conference in September.

Share the Health

We are pleased to introduce a new quarterly facebook live series  “Share The Health” where our Dr. Scott Stoll, along with our partners at the Rodale Institute, take a closer look at the often overlooked but powerful connection between human health and agriculture.

In this first episode, Dr. Stoll and Rodale Institute’s chief scientist, Dr. Andrew Smith, discussed the pioneering work being done to not just improve soil health but to also prove scientifically, that healthy soil does indeed equate to more nutritionally dense, healthy plant foods.

The Share the Health series will be broadcast live, quarterly on The Plantrician Project’s and Rodale Institute’s Facebook feeds. Keep an eye out for more information regarding this fall’s discussion where Dr. Stoll and a guest will discuss strategies on how to have a healthy back to school.

Here is a link to the first event. Stay tuned and please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for invitations for upcoming talks.
