The 15th Home of the Free...Because of the Brave Dinner once again will be held at Fogo De Chao in Tysons, Va., on Thursday, Sept. 5. As in years past, the entire restaurant will be closed for this event, as we are joined by approximately 60 service men and women (and their family members) who are recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital from injuries sustained defending of our country. Several VIPs will join us, including Medal of Honor Recipient Barney Barnum.
The evening begins with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. The 2019 NFL season opening game between the Bears and Packers will be shown on TVs throughout the restaurant.
This is a great opportunity to have a night out with friends while personally showing your support for those who have sacrificed so much for our country. If you have attended this dinner in the past, you know that it means a great deal to these impressive young men and women and their family members to have an evening outside of Walter Reed or Fort Belvoir. It means even more for them to personally experience the appreciation and support of other Americans.
Please see the invitation above for details. The price of this event includes gratuity, dinner and drinks for you and a portion of a service member’s dinner. Sponsorships and additional donations are always welcome and needed to fund the event and gift cards for the troops. Please note that a portion of the $295 dinner price is tax deductible and donations to the event are fully tax deductible. Tax receipts will be sent via email after the event.
All net proceeds from this event will be donated to Patriot Point, a relaxing and safe environment to enjoy outdoor recreational activities for our nation’s wounded service members and their families.
