FiA Spotlight- Janie Campbell
Nickname: Pitch Perfect
How I Got it: I got my nickname because I was the president of my a cappella group in college. However, since my naming, I’ve also been known to sing along to music (aloud) while running or make up songs about what we’re running past, fully living up to my name.
How Long I've Been Coming: I’ve been coming to FiA since late January 2015, when I was a first year graduate student and new to Columbia. The first few months, I didn’t really engage or get to know anyone, but once school slowed down, I made some of my closest friends after I agreed to participate in a 9-woman P200 team. After that, my involvement with FiA was solidified.

What I love about FiA:  I love FiA for so many reasons, but two of the main are because it keeps me accountable, and I get to meet women from all different walks of life. I know that women I respect and look up to are waiting for me to show up because I told them I would. What I love even more are the friendships I’ve made. These women have accepted me into their families and made me “aunt” to their kids, helped me move, given me life, love, and career advice, invited me to Thanksgiving when I couldn’t be with my own family, and shown me the bright side when I’m down. I love these women because they’ve become my family.
