Sacred Places with Kurt Leland created a lot of interest
After a quiet start activities at the centre went full steam ahead.
The American clairvoyant Kurt Leland started the weekend of June 1stwith a lecture about the three objects of the TS at the annual meeting of the members of the Dutch section. Each of the objects has its own inner meaning; they are interrelated, and none can be ignored. The public meeting Sacred Places, how to perceive, preserve and co-create them attracted nearly 100 persons, with many newcomers. In a very simple and modest way Kurt elaborated on the different aspects of sacred places, amongst others working with devas. The day has been recorded and will become available on YouTube (follow the announcements on our site). During the last day Kurt explored the finer energies near the LCC chapel and the Garden of Remembrance with a small team of workers, as a preparation for the renovation of that garden later this year. We all learned a lot and had the feeling that we opened a new page in the history of ITC.

Seminar The Voice of the Silence, An Insight into the Mystery and Purpose of our Life with Martin Leiderman
This seminar was also very well attended with some 80 participants, including a large group of friends from Point Loma. Time and again Martin appears to be able to give new insights in, and approaches to this very special booklet. His opening was quite refreshing: “Be sure that no-one in this Besant Hall is on the path yet, we are on the road to the path at best. The path is difficult and requires a lot of preparation ”. During this seminar we were all on the same footing. Martin combines his very deep insight with a lot of humour, which helps to attentive. We are fortunate that this will become available on YouTube as well.

Productive annual meeting with the General Council TS Adyar
For the third time already, members of the General Council and a few invitees gathered at ITC for strategic planning sessions, and the second official General Council meeting. A list of projects has been discussed and when required decided upon. As before there was a very open and positive atmosphere of working together to make the work of the TS more relevant for the future. Considerable steps have been made already, such as the opening of a theosophical school on the compound in Adyar, the Adyar Theosophical Academy ATA. More news is visible through the blog of Tim Boyd https://www.youtube.com/user/presdenttb/videos.

Work in the Garden of Remembrance
After intensive and elaborate deliberations and research the Executive Committee was able to make some clear decisions. This autumn the old trees will be cut down, and new smaller trees will be placed on the same spot, as part of a complete renovation. The advice of Kurt Leland gave us more confidence that we are on the right track, enabling us to make some additional improvements fully respecting the finer energies in the garden.

A small, hard working community
The ITC can function thanks to a small and hardworking team of devoted volunteers. During the month of June, with an ever ongoing series of programs, and several changing groups of participants, we realised once again how efficient our team is. However, we know our limitations as well, for instance when one of us falls ill. Expanding the team with new workers has a very high priority now.
