MHK 2020 Strategic Plan Kick-Off Meeting

Are you a local food advocate, a food business owner, a farmer, or at all invested in our region's economic development? Then we invite you to please join us at the Mountain Harvest Kitchen's 2020 Strategic Plan kick-off meeting this Wednesday at noon.

During the past several months, the Mountain Harvest Kitchen (MHK) has been engaged in the strategic planning process with food systems consultancy, Karen Karp & Partners. The goal was to develop opportunities to strengthen our region’s local food economy and explore how MHK can best assist in that effort. 

At this workshop we will outline MHK's goals for the immediate and long term future and discuss how you, the stakeholder community, can pursue and implement strategies that respond to the critical gaps in the region’s food business ecosystem.

We hope you will join us and work with us to support food entrepreneurship while strengthening our regional food systems. Light lunch will be provided by MHK member tenants Fit Clean Meals and Ice Cream Dreams. Meeting details are as follows:

Upcoming Bread Baking Class
November 13, 5:30 - 7 p.m. 
at the Mountain Harvest Kitchen
Have you been wanting to learn how to make your own bread but don't know where to start? Here's your chance to learn from seasoned bakers in our state of the art commercial facility in beautiful Unicoi, Tennessee. Participants will learn the no-knead sourdough method, bake bread together, and take home a sourdough starter and several recipes!
