Caiti Baker- 'Gone'
Darwin-based Caiti Baker released her latest single ‘Gone’ in early September. Already hailed one of her most accomplished songs yet, her unique combination of R&B, soul, trip hop and pop works brilliantly with her powerful vocals in 'Gone'.
Touching on themes of captivity and surrender, her latest work is sleekly produced and cleanly blends vintage and modern musical inspirations to weave a tale.
“Gone is a song that means a lot to me. It’s healing and forgiving…We hope it resonates with people as it does with us,” Baker said.

Dave Garnham and the Reasons to Live- 'Up & Down'

David Garnham & the Reasons to Live are described as looking like truckers, but singing like angels.
When lead singer David sat down to read Albert Camus' ‘The Myth of Sisyphus’, he struggled to get past the first few pages. So he put it down and wrote a song about what he thought the piece would be about, cue their latest single ‘Up & Down’. The opening line of their most recent release ponders, “Maybe the junkies have got it right? Find something you love and do it til you die".
Such unapologetically sentimental lyrics are part and parcel for DG&TRTL. You can expect more tunes to tug on the heart strings when they release their long-awaited EP ‘One Man Down’ in the not-too-distant future.

Tasman Keith & Stevie Jean- 'Bliss'

The Territory’s own Stevie Jean has joined forces with Gumbaynggirr artist Tasman Keith for a concept EP 'Evenings' released in late August. The latest single from the EP ‘Bliss’ is a delirious dream that follows a night, and a relationship as it disappears into the AM.
"We wrote Bliss in the early hours of the morning in Studio G. The three of us were pretty delirious by the end of it, just running on espresso shots. I remember feeling like I was in a trance… said Stevie Jean.
"There's this juxtaposition between the chorus and the verse, where the former feels like open communication and the latter embodies all the things you wish you could say, but you don't."
The project is the follow up to their banging single ‘Prey’, which soared to the top of Triple J's rotation in May and has reached over 200,000 streams on Spotify.

Tom Curtain- 'We're Still Here'
‘We’re Still Here’ is the first single from Tom Curtain’s highly anticipated fourth studio album, co-written and produced by Garth Porter, and due to be released later this year.
Tom had toured through drought-stricken western Queensland only weeks before the devastating 2019 floods. As he drove home to the Northern Territory following the floods, Tom was overcome by the death and destruction which lay in the now lush, green Queensland pastures as far as the eye could see. Inspired, Tom teamed-up with Garth Porter to write ‘We’re Still Here’, a salute to rural Australia and the uncanny ability of rural communities to pull together, rebuild and move forward despite ongoing challenges, natural disasters and isolation.

Charlie Powling- 'Fifteen of Fame'
'Fifteen of Fame' is the latest single from Charlie Powling's second album 'Traveller in the Storm', released in early 2019. Written while Charlie was undergoing Interferon treatment for Hepatitis C, 'Fifteen of Fame' is a emotive, thought-provoking tune, featuring the the slick guitar skills of lead guitarist and fellow Darwin musician Gravy. After laying his guitar down over Charlie's powerful vocals, the duo decided nothing more was needed for the track, instead choosing to keep it in its current raw and real form.
