As a reminder, the REGISTRATION DEADLINE is this Friday, July 19. Just fill out the registration form below (you can pay either online or at the door). If for some reason you are unable to register in advance, you are still welcome to come, but your pre-registration will help us with our planning and preparation for space, meals, and materials. You're Invited to the 2019 NWYM Annual Sessions!
Strengthen Your Life, Ministry, and Church in our Equipping Workshops!
We are offering fifteen practical and relevant workshops during our 2019 Yearly Meeting sessions that expand on some aspect of our overall theme of "A Fresh Vision." You will be inspired, encouraged, and equipped for increased effectiveness in outreach and ministry!
Each one-hour workshop will be offered on the first floor of the Hoover building each day at either 1:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. (with a fellowship/refreshment break in between). Below is the schedule for these outstanding opportunities to learn and grow!
Brockie Follette is a Certified “Growing Young” Presenter for the Fuller Youth Institute, with a special focus on the Friends Church. She is passionate about helping students to live Godly lives in their cultures and contexts, while also helping local churches discover how to reach, keep, and engage youth and young adults as a part of their church family. Brockie will be featured as a workshop speaker each morning and as a guest in one of the evening sessions.
Jim Le Shana is the Superintendent of Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends Church. He is convinced that the best days for the Friends Church are still ahead, but that many of us today may need a “fresh vision” – to see ourselves, the world, the needs, and the opportunities around us with greater hope and clarity from God’s perspective. Jim will serve as our primary speaker in the evening sessions.
You will be encouraged, challenged, and inspired personally and in your local church as we desire to move forward together with a FRESH VISION to make a difference in this world for Christ!
YYM is sponsored by the Board of Youth and Young Adults. Clyde Thomas and Daria Brandt will be the primary on-site leaders. Students entering middle school through high school will spend time at Camp Tilikum, serving in the Newberg community, and on campus at George Fox University. They will participate in various youth discussions as well as attend workshops with the larger group and have opportunities to grow as servant leaders.
Thank you for registering for Yearly Meeting Sessions. We want to make sure you know that those traveling from a distance of 100 miles or greater receive a 10% discount (Discount Code: DISTANCE). All pastors receive a discount of 5% (Discount Code: PASTOR).
Our costs for housing and meals are subsidized for everyone to make it more possible for people to participate in Yearly Meeting Sessions fully. We also thank local Friends for paying our general registration fees to help offset the burden on those who travel from a distance.
This year you can register on our website. You are able to pay by check, through the page on our website for giving, or with PayPal. We highly encourage pre-registration for attending YM Sessions.
