We'll let you in on the secret to beautiful roses!
Saturday 27th July at 1pm
Free Rose Pruning Workshop

Roses are tough plants and don't need too much maintenance, but with a little bit of effort you can be the envy of your neighbours!

Pruning is key to getting lots of beautiful, fragrant flowers and now is the time to do it.  We are lucky to be hosting experts from The Rose Society of Victoria on Saturday 27th July at 1pm to tell us about how to care for roses, how to prune, and when to feed for happy, healthy roses!

We've held these sessions in previous years with great feedback from our customers, so we really encourage you to come along. Learn something new, or just come along and share a cuppa and a chat with other rose enthusiasts.  We'll have some fun prizes and giveaways too, including a rose care pack for a lucky winner!

It is a free event but we encourage you to call the store to RSVP on 9822 3305 so we can ensure we have enough goodies for catering purposes.

Can't make it to our workshop?  Not to worry. We're here any time if you need advice, so please come in and visit our staff for a chat.  Or if you can't come in, here's a few things you can do to improve the performance of your roses.

Seamungus Health Tonic

Apply a liquid feed of Seamungus when planting, moving or root pruning roses.  Best done when dormant in winter.

Strike Back for Roses

In August, begin your rose feeding schedule with an application of Sudden Impact for Roses.

Sudden Impact for Roses liquid fertiliser

When buds appear in September, apply a fortnightly foliar spray to promote plant health.

Strike Back for Roses

Roses can be vulnerable to fungal diseases like black spot and powdery mildew.  Spray this natural fungicide on them to help keep it under control.
