Dear All

As the Summer Term draws to an end on Friday 19^th July and over the next few Fridays, we would like to wish you a peaceful summer and hope that you will have opportunity to have some rest and to be refreshed during this time. We will not be putting out a new bulletin each week, during the rest of July and most of August, but here are some things for you to note, concerning this period,

Home Groups Suspended for the Summer Holidays
Home groups are now suspended from meeting formally, for the summer holidays. We will resume the home groups from early to mid-September. But we encourage you to have informal fellowship with others within the church, during the summer period, and to do social things together such as barbecues, walks etc. Let us continue to practise Hebrews 10:24-25 – ‘And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together…but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching’.

Sunday Mornings
Our Sunday morning meetings will continue as usual during the holiday period. Please come and worship the Lord together each Sunday and be refreshed by his Word and Spirit. We have a full preaching and worship plan for the whole of the summer and children’s work for primary school age children. There will be no, manned creche for 2 to 4 year olds in this period but parents may like to cooperate together to provide cover each Sunday. Some specific dates to note:

Sunday 18^th August: we have Gordon Williamson visiting to preach. Gordon used to co-oversee our training college with Ewen, in Swansea and Rugby, and is an excellent bible teacher.

Sunday 1^st September: we will have a family time on this day with a barbecue meal together. There will also be some baby dedications for some of the babies who have been born in previous months.

Prayer for Healing
Please continue to pray regularly for Kirsty, Terry, Ian and any others suffering with any kind of illness, that the Lord will touch, restore and heal them, also causing them and their partners to know God’s promises, presence and peace.

Footsteps breaking for summer
Footsteps, our stay and play for 0-4s, is now taking a break for the summer holidays, but will be back in September for the new term.
