Over 85 entries so far in the 2020 Calendar Contest and each dog is truly remarkable. We can't wait to see which one will be this year's Top Dog! Sweet Rosebud (above) is one of many dogs rescued by NGPR this year that needed extensive veterinary care. Rosebud spent 65 days at UT College of Veterinary Medicine and underwent multiple surgeries. Happily, she is home now with her foster family, receiving lots of love and care that she so deeply deserves. That's the smile of a happy girl and it's your donations that made it possible!

Pass the Word: Once your dog is entered in the contest you can use Facebook or other social media to promote your dog. Just click on the icons on your dog's entry page to automatically notify your friends, family and co-workers that your dog is in the contest. This is your opportunity to share your dog’s special story!



How It Works: The calendar contest helps adopted dogs pay it forward to dogs who are coming into rescue now.  Every vote equals $1 and counts as a tax-deductible donation. At the end of the contest, midnight EDST on August 31, the dog with the most votes becomes our calendar cover dog.

They are living the best years of their lives now because they were rescued. And you can help us save more by entering and/or voting.

Payment of the $35 photo submission fee gets you a free calendar when they are mailed in November. It folds out to a huge 12" x 24", with 14 months and 200+ photos of Pyrs and Pyr mixes.

*Photo Specifications: You can use a digital camera or a smartphone. Use the highest resolution setting with minimal compression. (If you do use your smartphone, make sure you use the highest quality camera settings and the image is not reduced when you send it.) You can submit photos in .jpg, .png or .tif format. Photos  cannot contain filters of any kind, such as Snapchat or Instagram filters. or be edited using any type of digital software. Photos should contain animals only, no humans! As a general guide, a setting of 2048 × 1536 pixels at 300 dpi will produce a decent photo. Please provide photos in horizontal format, if possible.  If you can provide larger images, such as 2400 x 1800 pixels, that would be great.
