Community groups and organizations to host a forum to support an End to the Korean War

Norcross, GA - On Saturday, July 27th, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, Representatives, community and advocacy organizations, and impacted community members will host a forum titled, “From Armistice to Peace: How to End the Korean War” to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the armistice agreement of the Korean War. The event is to bring awareness and inform on the need to formally end the ongoing Korean War and to discuss the impact of the lingering war has on our diverse communities.
Among other community leaders and officials, the forum will host five panelists: Representative Sam Park, Hyun Lee of Women Cross DMZ, Lisdsay Harper of Georgia WAND, James Woo of Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta and Dr. Yusun Chang of Georgia Korea Peace Campaign.
Panelists will commemorate the 66th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice of July 27, 1953, and will discuss the history of the ongoing conflicts and challenges surrounding the Korean peninsula followed by a discussion of how grassroots activities can promote peacemaking in the region
