This is an update on the Waitangi Tribunal Hearings for the Pouākani Remedies Inquiry (Wai 85) and Ngāumu Forest Remedies Inquiry (Wai 429/939/959) Tribunal hearings.

The Wai 85 and Wai 429/939/959 hearings of expert economic evidence with the Waitangi Tribunal will be held from Monday 22 July – Wednesday 24 July, at the Tribunal offices in Wellington. Representatives from the Trust will not be giving evidence at these hearing days. 

Closing submissions will be heard on 9 - 12 September 2019 (Wai 85) and 24 - 27 September (Wai 429/939/959).

Livestreaming of the hearings will be available. We will provide you with regular updates on scheduling, along with links to the livestream, via our Facebook page.

Whānau, thank you for your support as we work to bring this part of our settlement journey to a close. We understand this has been a long journey for our people and we have no greater wish than to see our settlement come to fruition so we can focus on building a better future for Ngāti Kahungunu.
