Old Growth Forests of the North Shore

Come learn about the North Shore’s old-growth forests and where to find them! Biologist David Cook will explore what an old-growth forest is and how it's ecology and structure are very different than a second-growth forest. Learn where the remaining fragments of old-growth forest can be found on the North Shore, how they survived logging, and why some isolated and veteran trees were left when others were clear-cut.
