CEO VIDEO NEWSLETTER

19 JULY 2019

Dear colleagues and partners,

Happy Friday to you all. Great to be able to bring you another weekly video newsletter. For the first or possibly second time, it's a video from a moving vehicle! Hope the less than steady camera doesn't give you motion sickness! If you have any thoughts or feedback on the items I cover in this week's edition, please do get in touch. You can reach me on my social channels below or via email here

INDUSTRY PARTNER MEETING
Firstly, I'm pleased to let you know that we're making very good progress in preparation for our Industry Partner meeting in late September that will be hosted by Philips at their HQ in Amsterdam.

This week we have moved forward on the agenda - looking at key questions around education, how to engage patients and citizens in projects, how we can deliver innovations in partnership with payors and providers, and how we can support access to finance.

You can hear my thoughts about this in the video.

WILD CARD SELECTION
This week, we've had the second edition of our Wild Card finals - our flagship programme to start and incubate young teams around key channels, establish companies and support them for their first two years.

We have selected two teams from the six great teams who pitched, and it has a been a milestone in our partnership with CIMIT

Much as it pains me, I am precluded from telling you who the winning teams are at this moment, while we wrap up some paperwork.

But check out the video for more information or keep an eye on the Wild Card website here

JP'S SUCCESS STORY - WEEK 4
This week, I want to continue my new section of this newsletter entitled "JP's Success Story'.

Each week, I'll take an example of what success means for EIT Health - something which can take several shapes. I'll explain the example and then provide info on why this is a success for EIT Health.

This week I want to talk about our Innovation Fellowships. These constitute a training programme based on a well-defined process for needs-driven innovation called 'biodesign'.

You can here more about the success of the programme in the video.
