This newsletter shares recent updates, data releases, and publications, as well as announcements of upcoming conferences and symposia where you can hear and meet IDG members. The Illuminating the Druggable Genome Consortium is supported by the NIH Common Fund. Program members include Data and Resource Generating Centers (DRGC), Knowledge Management Centers (KMC), Resource Dissemination and Outreach Center (RDOC), and Cutting Edge Informatics Tools (CEIT) grantees.

Announcements

CEITs join IDG and Pharos Updated

NIH announced theaward of 3 CEIT grants in late Spring 2019 to PIs Dr. Kannan (UGA), Dr. Robinson (JAX), Dr. Wu (OHSU). These grantees will develop tools for aiding analysis and visualization, in addition to integration of new data. Congratulations and Welcome to the IDG consortium! 
Pharos, the user-interface site for the data collected by the KMCs, recently released an extensive update in response to user feedback and UIX studies.  So please visit the site and explore:

Upcoming Conferences

  • Timothy Sheils, NCATS, will present on Pharos at ACS National Meeting 2019, in San Diego, CA held August 24-27, 2019. (KMC)
  • Dr. Michael McManus, UCSF, is a featured speaker at the RiboClub Annual meeting 2019 in Mont Orford Park, Canada. (DRGC)
  • Dr. Tudor Oprea, UNM, will present at the 8th Annual Drug Repositioning and Repurposing Conference (September 23-24, 2019) in Washington, DC. (KMC)
