SCPA Member/Family CPR Class this Thursday

Would you know what to do if your partner collapsed on the pickleball court — or in your living room?

Such a thing happened in June 2017, when Jim Schultz suffered a massive "widow-maker" heart attack at on the pickleball court at Rainbow Park. SCPA President Lori Miller, a career fire fighter, led the CPR response that saved Jim's life.

On Thursday, July 25 from 3 to 4:30 PM Steve Brass — a certified first responder trainer with over 30 years of teaching experience — will again offer fellow SCPA members his Citizen CPR workshop. This hands-on training covers:

  • Recognizing a heart attack/stroke
  • How to use 911 effectively
  • Adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation technique

The free class will be held at High Country Fire Training Center, 0225 County Commons Rd, Frisco.  (Turn right opposite the Senior Center and drive straight back.)   Bring a towel or pillow for your knees.

Steve can accommodate only 20 SCPA members and families, so he needs firm commitments to attend. Email sbrass13@gmail.com by July 20.
