Celia Burbush
A series of ‘en plein air’ oil paintings featuring old mining sites by Celia Burbush.
Celia is a former "Cumbrian Artist of the Year" (2017), and episode winner of BBC1’s Home is Where the Art Is, her work is ever-changing and thought-provoking.
Celia's new investigation into landscape not only captures the varied, ephemeral nature of light over the fells, it also gently unearths long-forgotten tales of this ancient terrain.
Nicholas Shaw:
... is strongly drawn to the effects of light on the Cumbrian fells where he both lives and works.
Nicholas' work is published in various formats from cards, posters, book illustrations & is held in many private collections.
