End of Year Wrap-Up!

As the deep heat of summer sinks in heavy, humid and predictable, July is a time when everything at Farmshare slows down just a bit. The last of the tomatoes ripen juicy and sweet on the vine, and the eggplant, peppers and basil droop a bit in the late afternoon and perk back up in the early morning sun.

This year's spring Farmer Starter class graduated late June. The Mobile Markets are on their summer schedule with three weekly markets through August.

July also marks the end of Farmshare’s fiscal year, a good time to take a look back on the good work of the past 12 months!

Fresh for Less Mobile Markets
The Mobile Market coordinator team saw a steady stream of loyal repeat customers shopping at the markets. Read more

Education
Since its first class in 2014, we have graduated 29 Farmer Starters in seven classes. Read More

Farmshare Land Link
Formally launching in February, Farmshare Land Link connects people with farm land with farmers looking for land to farm or ranch. Read More

Farm
Given the growth of Mobile Market sales, most of the produce grown at Farmshare goes directly from our fields to our customers. Read More

Even as we match step with the slower pace of summer, the whole team can feel the excitement building for fall.

Adding to that, we are hiring! Please help us spread the word as we look to hire a new Farm Manager and a part-time Communications Coordinator.

Finally, we’d love to have you join us at two August events benefitting Farmshare:

Antonelli’s Cheese 101: Taste one of each of the seven different styles of cheese and pairings at this fun (and BYOB!) class.

White Linen Night: Enjoy sips and bites from the top restaurants as well as live music in Austin's 2nd Street District.
