Summer time at Jekka's

Finally Summer is here, and we have already started thinking about 2020 as we are collecting seed and starting to propagate next season's stock. For any keen gardener, you know there is never a peaceful time, there is always something to do whether it is watering, pruning or weeding.

To help you get your garden, allotment or balcony into shape we have collaborated with Candide to create some 'How to Grow' videos. The first two are on sowing seeds and taking cuttings.

Jekka's How To Grow: Sowing Seeds and Taking Cuttings

A feast for the senses

The joy of Summer is the abundance of flowers in Jekka's Herbetum. Not only are they great for attracting bees and other pollinating insects, a large number of them are  also edible. Edible flowers are a delicacy either on their own or cooked with other ingredients. They bring texture, colour and flavour to dishes as well as being decorative. Our latest blog is on Jekka's favourite edible flowers.

Jekka's Master Class on Edible Flowers

If you would like to find out more about using edible flowers, whether it is cooking with them or making beautiful flower vinegars, there are a few spaces left on our Summer Master Class on the 10th August.

Our Master Classes are limited to 12 people and run from 10 am to 4 pm and include a seasonal herb-based lunch included.
