Director's message

As many of us break for the summer, I’m delighted to be able to share our latest news and celebrate some highlights from Trinity Term.

It’s been a busy time for everyone here at the OII, as our academics and students continue to lead the way in producing outstanding papers, insights and commentary related to the internet and digital technologies.  We had some exciting news about a new Centre for the Humanities here in Oxford, we've seen international and domestic recognition for many of our senior faculty, contributed to some major political discussions and policy debate and we're building some great new relationships with potential partners and funders.

Looking ahead we’ve got some exciting initiatives underway and a number of opportunities to engage with us in the coming academic year.  Please do join us at either of our upcoming lectures in Oxford or London, which are free and open to all, or consider applying to our Summer Doctoral Programme for current PhD students.  As always, you can find us on Twitter at @oiioxford.

Until next time, have a great Summer.

Professor Philip Howard
