Pretty cool, right? Even better in real life! I am now casting up the 'Wave 1' 3-Up sized replica display pieces for those who have ordered one, and I finally found time to give one copy a quick go with the new GW contrast paints (they're great, but a bit blotchy and I had to repaint over most of the flat areas in the pic) because I've been dying to paint one up since I first started sculpting the Plastic Skeletons back in 201o or whatever it was, blimey, time flies, etc.
The first run was limited to 50 castings because that's how many I think I can get out of the set of moulds, and now there are only 15 left to be claimed at time of writing! The next one will have a different overall pose (via new legs, head and weapon options) even given the amount of variation you can get with this kit! It's great fun trying to decide what precise combo of arm pose, weapon choice and skull direction to settle on! My aim is to release half a dozen or so as a series for you to collect, until I've finished enough 3-up sized parts to dare running a huge kickstarter to cover the costs of getting them made as actual 30mm scale plastics... It's the one ambition I've had since i was a child and got my first plastic GW Skeleton Army box in the late 80s!

And now...taxes?!
In a surprise move, Fate has handed me a tax bill for the first time since 2009. Yes, I apparently made an actual profit in the last accounting period and must be rolling in money. Well, no, not quite; it turns out that loan repayments can't be counted as business expenses, so all the money that I've been paying back to Paypal from each sale actually counts as profit. And me lying awake at night wondering how I'd meet the bills each month, not realising that I was in fact Scrooge McDuck.
In the grand scheme of things it's actually not a lot of tax I owe, a couple of grand, but I need to raise it, and fast, because HMRC don't play when it comes to the little fellers. One last thing - a health update. As you may remember, I contracted Type 2 Diabetes in the build up to Salute 2018, and immediately went on a low-carb, high fat diet (LCHF) to control it and put it into remission. Having just had my first Diabetic Review, my Hba1c count was at 34, which is excellent! It's like being a normal person, except they give you a free flu shot in winter, and you can't eat toast and potatoes anymore. I can't believe I've gone a whole year without eating a single banana, having spent 43 years eating at least two a day... and i don't even miss them, because bacon and eggs instead (LCHF).
Now I just need to deal with all the financial stress! Buy something!
