We're full swing into summer and right in the midst of trying to reach 700 Owners by September 31st! Did you know that if you refer a new Owner, you get to choose your favorite item from our pile of prizes located at the office. There's a plethora of fun stuff to choose from! We'll be reaching out to you to let you know when you can come in and snag a prize.

WE WANT TO REACH 800 Owners by the end of the year! That means we can begin our search for a General Manager, get closer to nailing down a site for the store, and do a final market study to ensure what we're building works best for our Owners and the community. Please help us reach these goals. Nudge your friends and family in the area. Host a BBQ or potluck. Share/interact with our posts on social media. Every little thing helps.

WE WON 3RD PLACE FOR OUR FLOAT in the 4th of July Parade. Special thanks to all the volunteers who worked hard planning and putting together the float. The flag turned out so neat!

We're still pretty pumped about our new mission and values! As we move forward with these ideas at the forefront of our minds, we'll be able to build the type of store that fits what we're all about. They drive us! Let them drive you, too!

We're gaining new Owners and love when there's enthusiasm! Pop by the Whitewater City Market with friends or family on the fence so they can talk with one of our experienced tablers. We're always happy to see you and answer questions.

Note from Board Development Committee Chair, Jo Baker:
Are you ready to take your ownership to the next level? The Board of Directors election is fast approaching and we want YOU to be our newest board member!
At the June board of directors meeting, your board voted to officially add TWO more directors to increase our capacity from seven to nine. Not only does this prepare us for the amount of work ahead, but also puts us in-line with other co-op start-ups across the country.
So, here is your opportunity to take on a leadership role in our mission to build a community-owned grocery store. If this is something you are interested in, please email me (Jo Baker). The election is at the October owners meeting, so there is plenty of time to consider it and apply.

**The Board of Directors meets the fourth Monday of every month in the conference room at the Whitewater Innovation Center. All Owners are invited! Gathering Time (for conversation and refreshments) is at 6 p.m. and the Call to Order is at 6:30 p.m. Stay for some or all of the meeting!

**The O&O Committee meets every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 in the GroCo office at the Whitewater Innovation Center. If marketing, event planning, chatting up prospective owners, or any other type of outreach is up your alley, join us!
