Summer isn't over just yet, but fall is coming, with lots of professional development opportunities you won't want to miss.

If you're interested in teaching and mentoring, register for the teaching conference or apply to mentor undergraduate students through the GiGS program. Get a head start on fellowship applications due in the Fall.

And finally, if you're looking to develop your skills while supporting other students on campus, consider applying to our Professional Development Liaison internship program -- applications are due SundayAugust 18

Register for the Fall 2019 Teaching Conference

You’ve just been appointed as a first-time GSI at UC Berkeley… Now what? You need to attend the Fall 2019 Teaching Conference, starting on August 22 for international first-time GSIs and continuing on August 23 for all first-time GSIs. Pre-register for the conference today! Presented by: GSI Teaching & Resource Center.

We're all looking for funding. A key to finding funding is to give yourself enough time to apply for fellowships. Paid Internship: Professional Development Liaisons 

Come join the GradPro team! We're hiring up to three graduate student Professional Development Liaisons (10 hours/week, $25/hour) to serve as peer leaders. Applications from doctoral and professional students in all programs, departments and disciplines welcome! Become a Mentor

You made it! Now you can help undergrads fulfill their dream of Getting into Grad School by being a GiGS mentor. Assist first-generation, historically underrepresented, and other students on their grad school journey. Apply by August 16. Presented by: Office for Graduate Diversity.

SPLiCE Lab: STEM Leaders Lunch

Calling all leaders of student/postdoc campus STEM organizations. The organizers of Cal's STEM PhD Leadership & Community Expo (SPLiCE) are hosting a lunch workshop called "SPLiCE Lab" on August 13 for leaders to plan, connect, and collaborate. Register by August 6.
