                      State Senator Sharif Street
                        Supports Kelly Green! 




Senator Street announced a new Urban Agriculture Bill he sponsored in Harrisburg at a press conference at Hansberry Garden July 26th. 
Afterwards, he escorted the head of the PA Dept. of Agriculture, Russell Redding, to Kelly School to see our efforts in the meadow and garden as well as discuss plans for rebuilding the schoolyard.  

We look forward to working with the Senator and his office in the near future. We appreciate his role in supporting urban sustainable design in public spaces like ours to improve the community's over-all health.

  We got kale and squash and lettuce and okra and....lots of produce coming up.

     A true "find it (!), then pick your own" space right in our neighborhood.

Each year we've been amazed at the resilience of the native plants, how different the display is and how much wildlife they attract.  

                                                                Its worth a visit!
