NAVE RENOVATIONS + SUMMER WORSHIP
Through July 14, our 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services will be held in Key-Andrews Hall as the Nave undergoes renovations. (Our Summer Special Worship at 9:15 a.m., will be held in the Yo Room as usual.)

Next Sunday, July 21, we will be back in our
newly-restored Nave for worship at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m.!

SUMMER SPECIAL WORSHIP AT 9:15 A.M.
Our casual and creative Summer Special Worship service continues this Sunday! We hope that you will join us for this informal Eucharist that meets June through August at 9:15 a.m. upstairs in the Yo Room.

AUGUST 4 - AUGUST 11
FAMILY PROMISE MINISTRY

Sign up now open! St. Paul’s, along with our partners at Mizpah Congregation and Second Presbyterian Church, hosts Family Promise, a ministry of hospitality to unhoused families with children, four times each year. Our next week of Family Promise is August 4th-11th, and there will be several volunteer opportunities to support these families. You can help by cooking, greeting their arrival each evening, hosting activities, or staying overnight at the church. Please sign up online by clicking here (there is no sign up board at St. Paul's). SUMMER INGATHERING FOR ORCHARD KNOB SCHOOLS
This summer, we will be collecting supplies to donate to Orchard Knob Schools for in-class use as well as their Care Closets. We will continue to collect school supplies through the end of Summer Special and our annual Blessing of the Backpacks! Look for the Orchard Knob Schools donation bin in the Church Office Lobby!
In-Class Items: Copy paper, composition notebooks (non-spiral, marbled cover), golf pencils with no erasers, glue sticks, copy paper.
Elementary Care Closet: Polo Shirts for boys sizes 4-10 (yellow, light blue, navy blue or white), Girls polos sizes 7-12, Underwear for both genders sizes 4-7, Plastic bags (to give students who are sick/soiled clothes).
Middle School Care Closet: Chapstick / lip balm - tube style, not squeeze gel, deodorant (travel size), belts (unisex, stretch braid), big bottles of hand sanitizer, boxes of tissues.


JOIN ST. PAUL'S SUMMER CHOIR
Throughout the summer, musical leadership for the 10:30 service will be provided by the Summer Choir, and new singers are welcome! The choir meets on Sunday mornings through Labor Day weekend, from 9:30 – 10:15 to rehearse music for the 10:30 liturgy. Sing when you are in town – no worries when you are not. Experienced choristers from junior high through adults are all welcome. Please contact Paul Thomas if you are interested so a folder and vestment can be provided: paul@stpaulschatt.org.
 


THURSDAY, AUGUST 1 - FRIDAY, AUGUST 2 | YOUTH IN-TOWN MISSION
Our Youth In-Town Mission trip offers a great opportunity for our youth to spend two days of service in the Chattanooga community. In past years we have served at The Community Kitchen, Neema Garden, Family Promise, Chattanooga Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Alexian Village, Ronald McDonald House, and the Rescue Mission. FRIDAY, AUGUST 2 | EXUM GALLERY SHOW OPENING RECEPTION
St. Paul’s Arts Committee invites you to the Opening Reception (5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) of Arts Meow and More, featuring feline-themed artwork by many local area artists. All proceeds from the show benefit The Alice Fund, helping to provide medical care for cats in need (thealicefund.org). The show will continue until August 25.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7 | GREAT EXPECTATIONS LUNCHEON
Great Expectations is a monthly gathering for those 55 yrs and over for the purpose of fellowship and education. Each month, we meet at 11:30 a.m. for socializing, lunch and a short program. For our August meeting, we will hear from St. Paul’s Youth about their pilgrimage to Anglican Heritage sites, their Service Trip to Atlanta, and their In-Town Mission Week here in Chattanooga. ENROLLMENT TIME FOR EfM (EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY)
If you are interested in being part of the Education for Ministry course (a program of theological education run by the School of Theology in Sewanee), now is the time to enroll. Tuition is $375, which includes all books and course materials. Enrollment continues until August 15, so please contact group mentor Carol Putnam (putnamcarol@aol.com) for more information now!

SUNDAY, AUGUST 25 | OUTDOOR EUCHARIST + PARISH PICNIC
Join your fellow parishioners on the last Sunday in August for an Outdoor Eucharist and Parish Picnic at Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle! We will have a casual outdoor Eucharist (10 a.m. CDT/11 a.m. EDT) and then gather for a picnic as we enjoy fellowship on the mountain! Activities include swimming, volleyball, badminton, and more! BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs, and lemonade will be provided. Parishioners are invited to bring side dishes, desserts, and additional (non-alcoholic) beverages.
