Conference and Graduation Ceremony Report
Leaders up to the challenge: The inaugural cohort of Fellows has graduated.
In the morning session, the five fellows defended scientific papers in front of the Evaluation Committee, consisting of academics and professionals. The presentations covered topics ranging from Ecology to Catholic Social Teaching to Artificial Intelligence and Ethics.
In the afternoon session, an array of esteemed speakers delivered their perspectives, highlighting the efforts to enhance the formation and growth of the whole person from academic, personal and professional points of view (see programme for more).

Franck Janin SJ, President of JCEP: ‘‘The world needs good leaders, who are up to the challenge at hand, who are driven by the values of respect, solidarity and community and who are able to discern.’’

"Every leader needs to follow their calling, their heart. [...] This will not happen without spiritual guidance, without growth. And this programme is all about growth" - Peter Rožič SJ, Director of JESC

‘‘Joint leadership combines the potential of all and is beneficial for the entire community" - Victoria Martín de la Torre.

According to Archbishop Alain Paul Lebeaupin, the Apostolic Nuncio to the EU, leadership must allow for growth, for responsibility. If there is no relationship between what we believe, what we do and are responsible for, we cannot be leaders.

Last but not least, the partner organisations that hosted the ELP fellows as trainees shared their experience stressing the added value of the process of growth for the person as a whole. We are grateful to the European Parliament, CIDSE, FAFCE and the Safran Group for the part they played in the leadership formation of the ELP fellows.
Scholarships for the ELP are available. Apply by August 15th to be part of the Fall cohort.
