Guest artists Nadine Belliveau, Heather Waugh Pitts, and Alex Pfaff, opened on June 28 with a full house! Show continues until July 28.
By the way, if you're looking for red dots (indicating an item is sold) we often don't get the chance to post them as many buyers take their treasures with them all across the country. Sales have been brisk, but rather than leave blank spaces, we invite the artists to bring in additional work for the month.

VIPs VISIT THE GALLERY
At the invitation of the Lunenburg Board of Trade, and with short notice for all, we were a stop on a whirlwind tour of Lunenburg by Melanie Joly, Federal Minister of Tourism, Official Languages, and the Francophonie, on July 10.
Other VIPs in the party included Tim Lehki, LBOT President, MP Bernadette Jordan, and Mayor Rachel Bailly.

LAS was delighted to show our sparkling gallery to these visitors - and to introduce them to our own VIPs: (below) Jennifer Harrison; (bottom photos) Jan Pattison, Jeff Gibson (in hat), Jan Hull, and Joe Wilson (all photos by Peter Zwicker). Gifts from many LBoT members were presented, including a small original painting from our Gifted shop. The Minister of Tourism will not forget Lunenburg!

There wasn't time for Minister Joly to visit everyone on her list, so we encouraged some neighbours to bring their wares to our gallery - thus discovering that Lamprai & Spice's chocolate cake is the best ever! We also were honoured to hang this work by Laurie Swim.

August’s “FOOT SHOW”
All art for this show must be 12” square, including frame.
You may submit one piece, or two, or three, or four.
Sculptures: two of three dimensions must be 12".
REGISTER your entries no later than MONDAY JULY 22.
This is immediately following PSOS. Everyone will be very busy. PLEASE don't ask for extensions. Entries received after July 22 will be declined. Why not do it now!
BY SENDING Your Name, Medium, Title and Price of each piece or set, to Administrator Joe Wilson, at info@lunenburgartsociety.ca. If you want them to be exhibited in any special format (diptych, triptych, cruciform, etc, please specify when you register. The Hanging Committee will do their best to comply.
THEN BRING THEM IN on Intake Sunday, July 28, 1-3:30. And take out your art during this time. Please find a friend to do it if you can't, so those who check in/out and hang your art can do what they volunteered to do.

We have air conditioning now, so the Gallery may be the most comfortable place for you to spend a hot Saturday or Sunday!

We need just three more Runners (drive a route around Lunenburg to bring "fresh art" to the Community Centre) on Sunday, 10-12:30 or 12:30-3:30.

HOT DOGS - THE CONVERSATION CONTINUES!
Last issue, I mused about whether hot dogs were acceptable for dinner. A discerning Member replied: "I say yes to hot dogs for dinner under these conditions:
1. Children are present
2. Salads are also served (ok; could even be potato salad)
3. There is Mayonnaise as a condiment.
4. Sauerkraut earns bonus points."
There are many topics of interest to artists, and this is a very tasty and relevant one!
