- Is the public just sick of highly allocated products when it comes to bourbon? Based on the recent buzz surrounding the news Buffalo Trace's upcoming special release of EH Taylor, the answer is clearly a resounding "NO!" I posted a few of the highlights of the press release on The Bourbon Daily's Facebook page and in less than a week it's reached over 30,000 people and really drew a lot of comments. Do we hate missing out on these tough to find picks? Absolutely... but bourbon industry, if you are listening, keep 'em coming. We secretly love these. I know I hope to score an Amaranth somewhere, somehow. I mean I have no idea how it will happen, but that's usually when it happens.

- Time is almost up on a pretty amazing offer from the #ABVNetworkCrew Club. We are offering 10 club members a one-year appointment on the barrel selection committee for Neeley Family Distillery's new single barrel gift shop-only bottles. Committee members will taste barrels designated for the program and assist in naming them. These bottles will then be sold exclusively through Neeley Family Distillery's gift shop. Members of the committee will receive invitations to participate in these naming sessions sporadically over the next year (August 2019 - July 2020). There is no requirement to attend these sessions, you just make as many as you can. The only requirement is you must be a #ABVNetworkCrew Club member to be involved. - Something big is brewing... or perhaps distilling? A friend of the ABV Network is preparing to release their first ever whiskey. There will be a release party on Friday, July 26 in Louisville. We'll have full details in the next issue of QBN!

We are putting our our first challenge for those who own the Bourbon Lovers Challenge Coin. During Bourbon Heritage Month (September), we're going to give away a Bourbon Zeppelin fidget spinner bottle opener each day of the month to someone who posts a photo of the coin and a glass of bourbon on Instagram or Facebook, tags Stephanie McNew (Stephanie McNew on FB and @miss_mcnew on IG) and adds the hashtag #ABVNetworkCoin. That's right... 30 winners in all (limit one win per coin owner). These BZ bottle opener's retail for $10 so it's a pretty sweet little incentive for drinking some bourbon and showing off your coin on social media. As if that weren't enough, we are going to take all thirty winners of a BZ bottle opener and put them into a grand prize drawing for samples spanning 50-years from Jeremy Schell's personal collection (must be a U.S. resident to receive bourbon shipped to you)... all high-end, premium picks. We will share complete details of the samples in a special episode of The Bourbon Daily, released on Friday, August 23.
