The exec met over the weekend and are pleased to announce the Executive Chief Judge (ECJ) and Racing Committee for the 2019/2020 season. Mike Jamieson will be taking over the position of ECJ and will be the Chairman of the Racing Committee which is comprised of Brad Dutton, Bruce Robb, Bradey Symonds and Jeff Weake (Chairman of the Technical Rules Committee). 

Please send your rule book submissions to the Jordan Smith at secretary@skirace.co.nz prior to 7pm on Friday 26th July, these will be forwarded to the Racing Committee for consideration. 

The exec have identified some equipment that needs replacing before the upcoming season and are calling for any donations to help cover the cost of these. Below is a list of items we require, if you can contribute the cost of one (or more) of these items it would be greatly appreciated. The approximate cost of each is listed alongside (if known), donations can be made to the NZWSRA main account 03-0104-0027646-000 and the club will purchase these items through our account at Burnsco. Alternatively should you wish to purchase these items yourself and bring them to midwinter please email Jordan so we know it has been accounted for.

5x Anchor with chain- $50/each
5x Rope 
10x Inflatable Hutchwilco Jackets- $100/each
1x VHF Radio (replacement for rescue boat)- $200
Turn Buoys (naming rights available)- $400
1x Countdown display clock (similar to marathon clock)

At this stage the dates in the calendar have been set but the venues are still subject to confirmation. We hope to have this finalised for you in the next week or so. 

Midwinter will be on Saturday 10th August and will follow last season's race format. Entries will be opened shortly. To help the day go smoothly please complete your entries online, they will close at 8pm on the Tuesday prior to the event. Entries will be $25 per event or $50 for as many races as you like. As per usual late entries will incur a 50% late fee.
