Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a great week! I spent the week in Chatham, MA on a family vacation. I'm making my way back to NJ today. I shared a few pics on my insta stories from my week away. It was great fun, but you can't keep me away from my Disney! I kept my pulse on Disney news at the same time to share in this week's newsletter.
We received news this week of the planned schedule at D23 taking place in Anaheim, CA from August 23-25. It is jam packed with tons of fun and information with the most important being the Parks & Resorts discussion taking place on Sunday August 25 at 10:30 AM EST. Here Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products will share details on much-anticipated attractions and experiences coming to Disney Parks worldwide! Mark your calendars! "The Lion King" Scavenger Hunt at Animal Kingdom
|
|
Beginning July 19th, Guests at Animal Kingdom will be able to experience an all-new scavenger hunt themed to "The Lion King". Search through Harambe Village for your favorite Lion King characters. When you find them, place stickers on the pre-purchased map. Find them all and collect a prize!
The map will be available at Outpost, Discovery Trading Company, Island Mercantile, and Mombasa Marketplace. After finding all of the characters, return your map to Mombasa Marketplace in Harambe or The Outpost Shop in the Oasis by September 28, 2019 and collect your prize!

Tony's Christmas Party Coming Back to MVMCP
|

Tis the season! Disney has announced that Tony's Most Merriest Town Square Party is returning this holiday season! Enjoy this festive event on select nights during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
Here are Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Dates:
- November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24
- December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22
Reservations are now open. This holiday event will take place from 9:30 PM - 12:30 AM (beyond the end of the standard party time at 12:00 AM!) at Tony's Town Square Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.
If you reserve your spot at the event, you'll enjoy an assortment of themed food and beverage offerings, including beer and wine in a fun, festive atmosphere complete with a beautiful view of Town Square, upbeat holiday hits, and décor. The evening will also feature entertainment by the one and only Tony himself (and he is hysterical!!). And that's not all! You'll also receive VIP seating for the 11:00 PM viewing of Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. Of all the benefits received, this is by far the best. You will have prime seating to the parade without the wait!
Shared seating is encouraged to enjoy both the food and the company. It's such a great way to meet people! Seating is available for guests as they dine on a first come, first serve basis.
This is an add-on event, in addition to the party ticket. Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party is $99.00 per person (plus tax) during every Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event night at Magic Kingdom Park. Disney Skyliner Opening September 29!
|
|
Disney Announces Opening Date for Disney Skyliner
Disney announced that the Disney Skyliner will open on September 29th! This new form of transportation will connect Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Art of Animation, POP Century, Disney's Caribbean Beach and the new Disney's Riviera Resort ( scheduled to open December 2019). The gondolas will feature graphics from Disney film, animation and characters.
Darth Vader to Replace Kylo Ren at Launch Bay
Starting August 29, Darth Vader will replace Kylo Ren at Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios. Kylo Ren will make appearances in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge it opens.

Dapper Day Returns

Beaches and Cream Soda Shop - The Beach Club Resort
Set to close in early August 2019 and reopen in December 2019. Currently, the last date available for advanced dining reservations at Beaches & Cream is Saturday, August 3.
Walt Disney World Railroad, Main Street U.S.A - Magic Kingdom
Closed now through TBD
"O Canada" - Epcot
The "O Canada" movie shown at the Epcot Canada Pavilion in World Showcase will undergo a refurb and close as of August 1.
Tower of Terror - Hollywood Studios
Tower of Terror is still undergoing refurbishments and running at a lower capacity. Expect less available FastPass+ and longer standby wait times.
Voyage of the Little Mermaid - Hollywood Studios
Voyage of the Little Mermaid will undergo a refurb and be closed on the following dates: July 15, 16, 17, 30, 31 and August 1.
