JUST OVER ONE WEEK TO PICKLESBURGH!

With only eight days until Picklesburgh 2019, there's a lot to see, taste, and do at our biggest (and briniest) pickle festival yet.

Prepare to jam out while enjoying all-things-pickled on the Jim Shorkey Auto Stage with a diverse mix of incredible local bands, including Beauty Slap, Mars Jackson, Justin Fabus, and more. View the just-released entertainment lineup here

Think you have what it takes to down a quart of pickle juice the fastest? Sign-ups are now open for the Pittsburgh Pickle Co. Pickle Juice Drinking Contest, with the winner taking home $500 cash and the title Mayor of Picklesburgh.

Also, just announced, Kraft Heinz will be celebrating 150 years of hometown heritage with the special, limited-edition golden pickle pin, available exclusively at Picklesburgh! The beloved, highly-collectible special pin will be distributed free, one-per-person, in the Kraft Heinz booth located under the giant inflatable pickle. Read more.

Picklesburgh is presented by Kraft Heinz, with support from Jim Shorkey Auto Group, Pittsburgh Pickle Co., Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, KDKA-TV2, Pittsburgh's The CW, Q92.9FM, 96.9 BobFM, and YaJagoff! Media

#TBT: BREWING CRAFT BEFORE CRAFT WAS COOL AT PENN BREWERY

While the modern-day Penn Brewery started in 1986, did you know that their roots run back to 1848 when the North Side was the City of Allegheny? Three breweries operated in the site where Penn Brewery exists today, and three of the buildings from that era are still part of the current Penn Brewery.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Penn Brewery is unique in its use of chilling, or "lagering," caves that run deep underground today. Today, Penn Brewery continues the tradition of being one of the earliest pioneers in the American craft movement. From IPAs to chocolate and pumpkin beers, along with delicious "traditional-Pittsburgh" food including wurst, pierogi, and more, you can get Penn Brewery's lineup right in Downtown at their new First Avenue Taproom & Kitchen.
