Volunteer for Family Promise | August 4 - August 11
Hello, St. Paul’s!
It is time to sign up for our next Family Promise dates, August 4 – 11!
Family Promise is a ministry of hospitality to unhoused families with children. They are in the program for up to two months finding housing they can afford and often working on skills that will help them find permanent jobs. Many of them are already working but still cannot afford housing.
St. Paul’s, with support from Mizpah Congregation and Second Presbyterian Church, hosts these families four times a year. We need your help to keep up this important ministry. Mizpah has already sent their congregational letter, and several people have signed up. I challenge us to get busy!
We will also need set-up help on Sunday, August 4, after 9:15 Summer Special, about 10:00. We will move beds and belongings to the Hart building so that things will be ready for our guests to arrive Sunday night.
We also need someone to bring snacks, and a trailer puller and van driver for Sunday, August 11, at 7 a.m. Please call or email me about these jobs, since they are not on the chart.
