July Update from AAA Play
Winter is coming to an end, so if you're not already, it's time to find an activity, go outside and start getting some sunshine. A handful of amazing all abilities activities are waiting to be enjoyed outdoors thanks to some new opportunities initiated by our friends, SNAPP, Softball Australia, VicHealth, Bowls Victoria, and South Gisborne Tennis Club. And they're not the only ones striving to provide better programs for people with all abilities...
- Thanks to Fishcare, Fishing for All Abilities clinics will deliver more programs
- It's the perfect season to play outdoor frisbee with Ultimate Frisbee, and
- With access to an indoor ice-rink, the AAA Play Ambassadors are slicing through the ice in any weather!

In the Spotlight
Looking Back: All Abilities Clinics - Fishing is for EVERYONE!
AAA Play and a host of remarkable partners will be working with Fishcare Victoria to develop and trial a structured program to deliver 100 ‘fishing for all abilities clinics’ in the Kingston, Bayside, Hobsons Bay, and Port Philip Council areas.
This exciting new initiative is thanks to $127,200 secured by Fishcare Victoria over two years for their ‘All Ability Clinics - Fishing is for EVERYONE!’ program, which will increase accessibility for both metro and regional areas.

Looking Forward: The DSSA (Down Syndrome Swimming Australia) National Swimming Championships
The DSSA (Down Syndrome Swimming Australia) National Swimming Championships are being held at The Centennial Pool, Brisbane on the 24th and 25th of August 2019.
The championships are held every two years to provide an unique opportunity for all swimmers with DS, who are over the age of 12, to compete against other swimmers with DS only. Additionally, this competition supports and enables access to the various swimming pathways available to our swimmers such as Swimming Australia clubs and affiliates, Sports Inclusion Australia, and Special Olympics.

AAA Ambassador News
No stopping the smiles from our lovely ambassadors Sonny, Evie Rose, and Dre on the ice as they took part in the mini Come N' Try Para Ice Hockey Session at O'Brien Arena. O'Brien's cold ice just couldn’t handle the warm grins from Sonny, and Evie Rose and Dre also had a blast as sliced through the ice on a sled for sure!
