Premier XV

Rather than having a bye round, AURugby played Burnside in the division above. This game for us was less about the score line and how our game plan and team cohesion come together against a stronger opponent.
When playing at 100% AURugby were able to hold their own against Burnside, however the smallest lapse in concentration was taken full advantage of by our opposition. Overall, AURugby played well against a much more dominant side. This game highlighted the parts of the game we need to tighten up ready for finals rugby.

Women XV

Just like last weeks game against the same team, Saturday had AURugby team tested in the first half. With a home ground advantage Burnside came out ready and using there strength in the forwards pushed AURugby back. However, AURugby again proved to be too much for Burnside.
AURugby forwards slowly worked the ball across the field with quck plays out wide to the backs proved too much for our opposition. A great win by the Women's team and another great game to watch especially the the synergy between forward hit ups and fast ball out wide.

"We just need to get the men to start playing rugby like women" - Matt Mooney
