OVERFLOWING WITH GRATITUDE:
67 CHALLENGE! MANDELA DAY
There can be no greater gift than that of giving one’s time and energy to help others without expecting anything in return.”

A huge thank you to all our families that opened up their hearts and contributed towards our 67 Mandela Challenge. Expectations were exceeded as we collected over and above the amount as we partnered with Table View Angels toward their worthy cause.  Well done, everyone!

WIGGLE & WOGGLY – MONDAY, 12 AUGUST
Two irresistible bookworms – Wiggle and Woggly - will take our little ones on a magical journey through storytelling and imagination.  We are looking forward to this interactive and fun show visiting our school. Cost per learner: R40 – Kindly send in cash to school in a sealed envelope labelled with your little one’s name, by latest Wednesday 7 August.

SPRING MARKET DAY - GR 1 AND GR R:
FRIDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER
To foster entrepreneurship among our Gr R and Gr 1 students, we are hosting our first Market Day at school.  Learners, along with their teachers and help from Mom and Dad, will go about setting up a table, making a poster to advertise what they are selling, and working with money, as the rest of the school get the opportunity to support them by purchasing their products. More details to follow!

FROM THE OFFICE:
STAFF NEWS: A warm welcome to Teachers Monique Pekeur, Cleo Shopo and Amanda Heck, who joined our school this term.
EXTRA-MURALS: There are still a few spots available in our optional extra-mural classes in the afternoons.  For more info, or to enrol, please mail the Office: admin@caprischools.co.za
FIRST AID WORKSHOP: Saturday morning, 24 August:  We are very excited to have Charmaine from Educare Blouberg presenting a First Aid workshop to our staff. We have two spots open; should any parents wish to join us at the special rate of R315, please contact Rosina.
SCHOOL PHOTOS:  Due to the bitterly cold weather still persisting throughout August month, we have thought it best to plan our annual school photos this year for the 4th term.  We will keep you posted.

END OF TERM DRESS UP:
In honour of International Literacy Day on 8 September we are going to have a fun end-of-term dress up on the last day of school (Friday, 13 Sept).  Children can come to school dressed up on the day as any character from the Letterland Alphabet e.g. Annie Apple, Oscar Orange or Golden Girl. Be creative & just have fun!

HOLIDAY CLUB:
MONDAY, 16 – FRIDAY,  20 SEPTEMBER
After the success of our first optional holiday club hosted in July, we’ll be hosting another one in the first week of our September school holiday; fee: R1,000 for 5 full days. Spots are limited - Book your little one’s spot early via email: admin@caprischools.co.za.

Wishing all our ladies a lovely Women's Month - and everyone a wonderful term!
