August Happenings





Beebe Windmill Tour: August 9. 10:30 am:

 
A visit to Bridgehampton’s Favorite Windmill, standing tall for nearly 200 years. Learn about its history and the historic role of windmills in the founding of the local 17th century settlement.
 


Peter Spacek who uses Charles Addams’ delightful cartoons as inspiration for students’ own cartoon creations. For kids who love to draw. Students learn to turn an idea into a simple sketch, then into a refined pencil drawing, and finally into a finished pen and ink cartoon. Quill pens, light boxes, and brushes will be provided.

A fun opportunity for kids to work in clay every day of this five-day workshop. Kids will learn while discovering and developing their own artistic style. After glazing and firing in a pottery kiln, participating students will bring home their own artistic clay pieces.
