Event report: Boundaries

This Summer, we held a series of three informal “conversations” on the role boundaries play in the heritage, cuture, and communities of Liverpool.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our opening night at One Fine Day in May, our “walking coversation” from Central Library to the Pier Head in June, and our final discussion of heritage “beyond the boundaries” at the Florrie in July.

If you missed the events, or want to see what was discussed, check out this summary of the entire series on our website.

  • 20 August 2019 from 10am-3pm at Central Station

You can also provide feedback online or by email until 9 September 2019. Visit our website to find out more.

Elsewhere in Europe:

Tourism tension in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Palma, and Venice

The balance between citizens and tourists is always a tricky one to get right. Recently a number of European cities have hit the headlines, taking drastic action to reduce the impacts of tourism on their cities – from a proposed one-a-day cruise ship limit in Mallorca (following a similar move from Barcelona), to a tourism marketing blackout in Amsterdam. Read more on our website.

We’re already planning our 2020 Autumn Seminar Series – if you’d like to see us bring Liverpool’s tourism industry into the spotlight, let us know by replying to this email, or catching us on Twitter or Facebook.
