We launched version 3.6 of the Bridge+More software yesterday. Below you can read about the changes to the app and the changes to the dealer's firmware.
Please update tablet to app version 3.083 and remember to let the tablet update the dealer's firmware (to version 3.01.19).
Please remember to turn the dealer Off and On after the firmware update - and please ensure the dealer have a battery level of more than 20% before updating the firmware.
- Please notice due to the tablet software update - you will need to (or rather allow) the update of the tablet software when asked to Install. If you during install are asked to "Allow ... (3 times) then answer yes - especially on Huawei tablets. When asked please use this setting:
We have had to update the dealer's firmware:
- As the firmware we launched a week ago required specific updates on servers - and to our surprise we learned from some users experiences - that despite we use the market leading code management system that - that some code had to be missing on our production servers as error types we have removed was experienced by a few users on some of their solutions.
After a lot of searching we found the missing code and have now made the necessary changes.
The automatic calibration of the dealer takes place at the first board of a tournament - and calibration are repeated if the dealer experiences card code recognition levels below certain thresholds (which also means we re-calibrate if dirt changes the card code recognition levels). In this first board after the update gives several subsequent errors please try first to use another deck of cards for the calibration and if the change of cards does not help please do a manual calibration as explained here (notice - we have removed the password protection) - https://bridgeplusinfo.com/how-to-calibrate/
Please notice we have also added a shake of the cards before a dealing of the deck is started - I will not bore you with some of the many statistics our solution can create but it is clear to us - that second deck in a round have the risk of having more of certain types of dealing errors - simply because when your players leave the table to go to another table the cards often seems to be inserted with more a "shovel" than inserted correctly. By shaking we try to ensure the cards are always stacked nicely.
We have also added improvements as listed below:
- Further improvement to the Register process on the tablet
Next major update will be an off-line app version that makes it possible to continue the game even if no internet when playing or if unstable internet - or use the batch feature - load the game details and go to the beach to play bridge.
