once upon a time there was...

There was once a time in our lives before we knew sarcasm and great responsibility. Before we understood what we may or may not do in this lifetime. Before we could no longer un-know particular things that alter our perspective.

When we were children.

And yet.

To be adults. Such complex creatures. And from this space experience what it is to see, to taste, to hear, to touch….. is extraordinarily delectable.

Summer is a wonderful time of year to remember this… all the colors of fruit and vegetables and fresh cut flowers at farmers’ markets, the warm feeling of sun on your skin, the sounds of the birds and the neighbors’ chimes moving in the wind, the smell of rain or the sea or the dry grass…

This is the gift of living. At every age...
