No More Clowning Around

A British cruise saw quite a ruckus following a massive brawl reportedly provoked by a passenger dressed as a clown. The P&O cruise ship Britannia was on the final leg of a cruise to Norway's fjords from Southampton, in southeast England, when a violent confrontation erupted due to hard feelings over the attire of a passenger on the “no costume cruise.” Police have reported that three men and three women were assaulted during the fight and that there were a number of injuries including cuts and bruises.

No Country for Originals

Disney’s been a remake and reboot machine since 2010, and no wonder they aren’t slowing down, they’re making massive bank! More than seven billion dollars has been made by remakes alone in the past decade, with three remakes released in 2019 alone - “Dumbo,” “Aladdin,” and “The Lion King” (all in live action! ...Well, live action and a ton of CGI). This string of remakes seems to have started with “Alice in Wonderland” in 2010, although there were two live-action films based on “101 Dalmatians” in 1996 and 2000.

Back on the Throne

Max Holloway has defended his featherweight championship status following an attempt to climb into the ranks of the lightweight bracket. Losing an interim title fight in April in the lightweight category, Holloway was able to beat Frankie Edgar to retain his title on Saturday night in the main event of UFC 240 at Rogers Place. A unanimous decision kept Holloway hollering away through the night as the victory was quite well-deserved following a slew of comments stating he wouldn’t stand a chance in the ring.

Once Upon a Time in Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood" exceeded all expectations, pushing past all previous works to become the highest box office opening Tarantino film yet. The film, which takes place in 1969 Hollywood and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, made an estimated $40.4 million between Friday and Sunday and took the number 2 spot at the domestic box office this weekend. "The Lion King" took the No. 1 spot for the second weekend in a row, but the Tarantino film did extremely well considering its lack of brand-partnership and it’s hard “R-rating.”
