Vocations Conference
It is still not too late to book a place on this year’s vocations conference either for yourself, a parishioner or a friend.
The urgent need for more priests is both pressing and immediate, that is why the Additional Curates Society has placed at the top of its priorities the encouragement of priestly vocations, so please both pray for this important initiative but also consider is God calling you
or someone you know to ordained ministry.
We are delighted to hear that Jonathan Roberts has just received the news that he has been accepted for training and will be going to Mirfield in September, Jonathan was on our 2018 Conference.
We are also delighted that others from our vocations initiative have been recommended for training, including James Walton and Andrew Bailey who are going to St Stephen’s House.
 Warren Mitchell also going to Mirfield and Philip Garrett who will be training at Queens.
Almighty God, give us priests:
to establish the honour of your holy name;
to offer the holy sacrifice of the altar;
to give us Jesus in the holy sacrament;
to proclaim the faith of Jesus;
to baptise and to teach the young;
to tend your sheep; to seek the lost;
to give pardon to the penitent sinner;
to bless our homes; to pray for the afflicted;
to comfort mourners;
to strengthen us in our last hour;
to commend our souls;
Almighty God, give us priests! Amen.
