Who are LifeBridgers?

We want you to know the people we feel so blessed to serve alongside of. We think LifeBridgers are pretty awesome and the best part is how unique each person's story is. So, we want to spend a little time each month telling you about them.
This month we want to introduce you to Josh Afanador. Josh has been serving as our summer worship intern. He arrived late in June and will be here until August 11. Josh has been leading, organizing, and bringing his experience along side of our worship team.

Josh is a part of Calvary of Central Bucks where he is was a part of the youth and Sunday morning worship bands. When he returns to Pennsylvania in August he will begin his time at Cairn University.

 Doing Life Together

We held our first meeting of married couples this month. This is the first of what will be monthly gatherings with the goal of providing support and encouragements for one another. Marriages at LifeBridge are unique in that many couples are living far from family . We also have a lot of multicultural couples, speaking multiple languages, integrating different cultures even within their marriage. We are excited about what is to come for this group!

Field Day

For LifeBridge, getting together outside of Sunday morning in the movie theater is so important. It's these activities that help people to invite friends and grow closer with each other. This month we had a field day. An afternoon of soccer, flag football and frisbee.  We had all ages join us for a some fun and friendly competition.
In each newsletter we will share a tid-bit about Panamanian life. Something unique, interesting or fun.

Since we told you about our field day we figured we should tell you about canchas. Canchas are small soccer fields, usually caged in. You find them all over the city because small leagues and pick up soccer games are so popular here. Nate plays soccer Sunday nights with a group of Expats in a cancha and you can find them in most neighborhoods. (Pictured here is the one in our neighborhood)

Curious about life in Panama? What questions do you have for us? Let us know, we would love to share about topics that interest you about our country.

Praise & Prayer

We deeply appreciate your prayers for us and LifeBridge.

  • Praise for new people stepping into leadership roles. With the departing of our Children's Lead in June we were without someone overseeing that ministry but now have someone new starting in that position.
  • Pray for our outreach events this fall. Events that both reach out to our community and events that serve our community. Our first one is this Saturday, where we will make and distribute bag lunches to the homeless in our community.
  • Pray for our worship team. Josh, our summer worship intern returns to the States August 11. Pray that the work he did with our team will continue in the coming months.
  • Pray that Nate and Jendi would have wisdom, patience and seek the Lord as we plan for the future.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
