Dear Parents,

Welcome to Term 3. We hope that you were able to relax with your children and share some family time during the Term 2 break.

On Monday we were joined by many parents and grandparents to celebrate Grandparents’ Day which coincided with the Feast of St Anne and Joachim, Jesus’ grandparents. We celebrated a beautiful Mass followed by morning tea, and then grandparents had the opportunity to visit our learning spaces. This was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and give thanks for the important role grandparents play in our lives. A big thankyou to all of you who were able to attend, particularly those who travelled long distances. There are lots of photos on our website galleries page.

Congratulations to our students who attended the Diocesan Athletics Carnival at Alexandra Park last week. All students competed to the best of their ability, representing our school with pride and sportsmanship. There were some great results throughout the day and a special congratulations to Aiden Hill who was the 11 year boy age champion.

Please keep the year 6 children and their families in your prayers as they prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. There is a parent/child meeting tonight at 7pm in St. Patrick's Church for all candidates and parents.

Please be advised that the Albury City Council and local police are currently involved in an “education campaign” targeting school zones and parents parking illegally. Be aware you will be hit with a $344 on the spot fine if caught.

Click here for the list of sport uniform days for Term 3.

Just a reminder that ALL information will be via Compass (our new admin system) as of term 4.  There will be NO school stream app. You can add your child's absentee notes via compass on the approval section. All parents have received a log in and password. If you don't have this information please contact the office.

Grandparents Day

It was an absolute privilege to welcome our grandparents to our celebrations yesterday. We thank all grandparents and families for celebrating Mass with our school community and for joining us for morning tea. The children very much enjoyed showing you their learning spaces and sharing their work with you.  You can view photos on our website galleries page

For those grandparents who were unable to join us today, Fr Joel prayed a special blessing for all grandparents during Mass. This blessing is also for you.

Lord our God, we ask your blessing upon our great grandparents,

grandparents and all who take their place for us.

We thank you for them, for their love, their care, their generosity.

We thank you for their wisdom and leadership,

for their joy, for the many talents and gifts they share with us.

Help us to show our love and gratitude to them always.

We ask you to bless them as they continue their journey of faith and love.

To be with them in their joys, anxieties and pain.

Grant them peace and harmony as they continue to share their lives with all of us

God of our ancestors, you bless and protect us. With thankful hearts we honour those who are our heritage, our home, and our roots.

Help us to learn more about your love for us through the example of our grandparents.

We ask this through Jesus our brother, with the help of Saint Anne and Saint Joachim.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen
