It's on again and this year it's the biggest prize pool yet! Reports suggest that the pre-season training period has included the type of behaviour to make an NRL player blush. So far the rigorous drug testing has claimed no scalps which would make sense as I hear most contenders have been very hard to find in Ben Hall country when it's time for testing.
|
|
|
In 2017, Eugowra stalwarts the Norrie family claimed the inaugural crown as Adam "The Sleeping Giant" Norrie crushed his long line up of opponents.
|
|
|
It's amazing what one year can do though, because even though Norrie was still the favourite leading into the 2018 tournament, the Moxey Farms-backed Max "The Striking Viking" Jorgensen dispensed with Norrie, relegating him to the retirees' bench.
|
|
|
This year will be hotly contested as the Herberts of Gundamain are determined to succeed after two poor results. Their special 7-foot tall import from Queensland failed to secure a win in the past competitions and so the Cattle King will certainly be out to settle his beef with the other Eugowra families.
|
|
|
As well as a renewed push from the Herberts, odds have shortened for both the Townsends and Wykamps who have promised to surprise the crowd and spill the Moxeys' milk jug.
|
|
|

It was a great spectacle at the Parkes show when a line-up of vehicles nearing the end of their natural life were finally euthanised, swiftly and violently! I took Wilhelmina and Beatrice with me and they found the cars smashing into each other very entertaining.

|
The event was won by Parkes local B.J. Ward in his entry named Pink Unicorn, complete with a horn on top!

A few customers have needed some big help in a big hurry this month and that's when a business like ours sets us apart from the competition. Below: this customer needed a very specific pneumatic cylinder flown in from the SMC factory in Japan.

Below: This torque limiting clutch turned out to be a 'business critical' piece of equipment for one of our customers. When it failed, there were none in Australia so we had to get one in direct from the Walterscheid factory in Germany.

Below: This customer needed a fuel dispensing kit to suit an overhead 'gravity fed' tank. Because it's gravity fed, an auto shut-off nozzle won't work nor will normal mechanical meters. We sorted him out with a very low pressure mechanical meter from Equipco and a manual diesel nozzle from Alemlube.

We stock and supply many pneumatic or pipe fittings and we spend a lot time trying to manage this for customers to minimise their downtime and ensure they have just what they need when they need it. This customer required their stock of brass bulkhead fittings, socket head plugs and other fittings to be replenished.
|
|
|
Another customer required assortment kits to be made for stainless steel pipe fittings including sockets, reducing bushes, nipples and adaptors. Each box here contains a different size, for example, one box has everything relating to 1" BSP so the team can find what they need in a hurry.
|
|
|
This time I made assortment kits for pneumatic fittings including elbows, studs, joiners and more. I individually bagged and labelled these because these kits contain both metric and imperial and well, it'd end up a disaster if they weren't all separated.
|
|
|
These brass fitting assortments are again designed to provide a solution as quickly and easily as possible with BSP nipples, sockets, bushes, adaptors and elbows all divided and ready for use.

This 3000 acre holding includes 650 acres of lasered flood plains, an idyllic house paddock and room for three or four Toyota Saharas. There is no price guide but let's just assume it's more than I've got.
