PAVT ransomware attack - check your Remote Desktop access!




PAVT, distributors of EAW, ClearOne, and Symetrix among others, were hit this week by a ransomware attack on one of their servers. While this represented at worst an inconvenience for PAVT as they restored from a back-up, they have taken this opportunity to issue a PSA to warn others of the potential vulnerabilities in their systems. The Support Act Wellbeing Helpline is a free, confidential counselling service that is available to anyone working in the Australian entertainment industry who needs to talk to someone about any aspect of their wellbeing. It is being delivered in partnership with Access EAP, and is staffed by professional counsellors who offer expertise in all areas related to mental health (e.g. depression, anxiety, addiction, suicidal feelings) as well as issues which can be mental health related (such as loneliness, relationship breakdown, financial worries, illness and workplace conflict). MORE INFORMATION>
