All the dinner ideas and deals for this weeks Seasonal fare.
This week it's the last hurrah for Satsuma Mandarins. The season will last about another week or so and them move to either NZ Encore or Australian Afourers. So make the most of this end of season special, they are the perfect lunch time treat.
Seasonal Tip: Yams are in peak condition right now. Make the most of them by substituting or even adding them to mashed Spuds. Check out this link to the Healthy Food Guide for more ideas.
Chicken Breast
It seems my whole day is built around what we can have for dinner that is simple to make and everyone will eat. This Sriracha Baked Chicken is a perfect mid week dinner and you can dial the spiciness up or down depending on the crew at the table.
A Sunday Roast this week is a must. To go along with it I found this recipe for "All the Trimmings" which is of course a Christmas recipe but I think you could use it any time. You could also ramp up the number of Sausages if you wanted it as a stand alone dinner.
Friday Drinks
If, like me, you are a Beer nerd then have a look in the fridge for Garage Projects 'Angry Peaches' this week. Fun Fact: It has no Peaches but gets its Stone Fruitiness from Amarillo Hops, which are not that easy to get. Put it on the 'to try' list this week, it is one of my all time faves.
