Volunteers for Family Fun Day ~ August 17
Dear TCDC Members and Volunteers,
My name is Jonathan Ablard and I’m the new Voter Registration Coordinator. My plan is to build off the fantastic work of Hallie Mitnick. I envision "Voter Registration" work to involve not just signing people up to vote but also educating people about the Democratic Party, offering those already registered ways to work with the Party, and to help build a culture of voting and involvement. Our work will be more than sitting behind a table!
Briefly, I'm looking for the following:
- Suggestions of events in your communities where we might conduct some Voter Registration work. If possible, send me the name of the event, the date, location, and a good contact person.
- Suggestions of organizations, institutions, or groups that might be interested in hearing about Voter Registration.
- Expressions of interest to serve as a Voter Registration volunteer.
More immediately, I'm looking for four volunteers to help out at the 2nd Annual Family Fun Day, August 17, 10am - 2pm at Stewart Park near the Small Pavilion and Carousel area. Check your calendar to volunteer for a 2-hour shift from 10 am to Noon or Noon to 2 pm.
